Specificity
Clone 1B22 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects human Claudin-6. It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the C-terminal, cytoplasmic domain.
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids from the C-terminal, cytoplasmic domain of human Claudin 6.
Anti-Claudin 6, clone 1B22 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1500, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that detects Claudin 6 and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.
Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound Claudin 6 peptide with a KD of 2.7 x 10-8 in an affinity binding assay.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Claudin 6 in human kidney and human stomach tissue sections.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Claudin 6 in HUVEC and A431 cells.

Target description
Claudin-6 (UniProt: P56747; also known as Skullin) is encoded by the CLDN6 (also known as UNQ757/PRO1488) gene (Gene ID: 9074) in human. Claudin-6 is a multi-pass membrane protein that plays a major role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space. Claudin-6 has two extracellular domains (aa 29-81 and 138-160), four transmembrane domains (aa 8-28, 82-102, 117-137, and 161-181), and three cytoplasmic domains (aa 1-7; 103-116, and 182-220). It acts as a receptor for hepatitis C virus (HCV) entry into hepatic cells. Claudin-6 is expressed in the liver, in peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and hepatocarcinoma cell lines. It is also expressed specifically in undifferentiated stem cells and can serve as a marker to purify stem-like cells from a mixed cell population. It is shown to play an important role during mouse embryonic epithelium formation and the development of endodermal tissues and its level of expression is correlated with dedifferentiation and malignant proliferation of epithelial cells. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Physical form
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
Reconstitution
0.3 mg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
Storage and Stability
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
